December 2009 Update!

Two years and five months old!

Christmas time! This year I had this urge to have a white tree. I have never really even had an urge to have a Christmas tree, but this year I really wanted one. Also it had to be white! My mother was very gracious and gave me the money to purchase one. It was all I hoped. It was bright and cheery and made the house feel magical. Rowan enjoyed taking ornaments off the tree and throwing them. Which resulted in many of them shattering.

Sloane at first told me she didn't like my tree because it looked fake. No doubt she has heard someone say that about white trees. I told her that was fine that I wasn't trying to fool anyone. Nope it didn't snow inside my house where I am growing a pine tree....lol. After spending time decorating the tree with me she told me that she changed her mind. She said that she loved the tree. It didn't hurt that we had Barbie ornaments for her to hang. Next year I want this black tree I saw. Super awesome!

Rowan got so many wonderful things this year. Veggie tales movies, books and coloring books! A friend of mine helped me get a great deal on a bicycle for him. I also got him a guitar. I always wanted musical instruments growing up, but we could never afford them. I want to make sure Rowan has access to whatever may interest him.

We do something outdoors everyday if we can. We have made it out to Cherry Creek Reservoir a couple times this month. The weather has been so crazy. One day the lake is frozen and the next its melted and so on.

Lastly this month we went and met Santa Claus! Woo hoo that was not fun...lol. Rowan screamed and cried, but I got that Santa picture I wanted.
